Energy Conservatory Exhaust Fan Flow Meter
The Exhaust Fan Flow Meter from The Energy Conservatory offers a fast and accurate way to verify airflow through residential bath fans and other ventilation exhaust devices. The Exhaust Fan Flow Meter attaches to the user's
DG-700 Digital Pressure and Flow Gauge (or the DG-3; both not included) to display airflow from 10 to 124 CFM, perfect for residential and light commercial ventilation checks.
In operation, air is drawn through a calibrated opening in the Exhaust Fan Flow Meter, creating a change in pressure measured by the manometer. The opening is adjusted by the user to ensure accuracy by minimizing back pressure. If using a manometer other than the Energy Conservatory DG-700 or DG-3, the pressure reading can be converted to airflow in CFM by using a conversion table located on the side of the Exhaust Fan Flow Meter. The manometer should have a range of 1 to 8 Pascals and a minimum resolution of 0.1 Pa (0.0004 inWC).
The Energy Conservatory Exhaust Fan Flow Meter is easy to use, and weighs much less than conventional flow hoods. It's a great choice for monitoring or testing ventilation compliance with ASHRAE 62.2 requirements. Also included is a short handle which can accept a painters pole to complete all testing without ever needing a ladder. Energy Conservatory product code: EXFANMETER
