Energy Conservatory Minneapolis TEC WiFi Link

WiFi Link Features

The new TEC WiFi Link from The Energy Conservatory may just change the way you use your DG-700 or DG-500 manometer. The TEC WiFi Link cuts the cord, allowing you to monitor the Minneapolis Blower Door remotely from your iPad or computer. Or you could use your DG-700 to test zone pressures while your laptop records the findings in another room. The TEC WiFi Link lets you be in two places at once, without the hassle of extra hoses and cords.

The TEC WiFi Link attaches to any DG-700 or DG-500 through the serial port and creates its own wireless network (or joins an existing network). Then when you connect a wifi enabled device, the WiFi Link communicates the manometer data to the latest versions of TECTITE and TECLOG for PCs, and the new TEC Gauge free app for iPhones and iPads. The software gives wireless control over the manometer, to adjust fan speed or cruise control on a Minneapolis Blower Door or Minneapolis Duct Blaster. Or to test combustion appliance zone (CAZ) depressurization, you can set up the manometer in the CAZ, connect it to a wireless device, then walk around the building while monitoring which fans, etc., make the combustion zone depressurization worse. Find your worst case depressurization faster.

WiFi Link is powered off the DG-700 batteries, so you don't have to remember two sets of batteries. (Note that this will reduce the battery life of the manometer to around 10 hours of continuous use.) The TEC WiFi Link connects to all DG-700 or DG-500 manometers without the need to send back your gauge or buy a new one. Simply attach the WiFi Link, download the free software, and start your testing - without all the wires.

  • Compatible with all DG-700 and DG-500 manometers
  • No modifications necessary
  • Wirelessly communicate with a computer, iPhone, or iPad
  • Control fan speed, start/stop, cruise control
  • Monitor pressure and flow
  • Control manometer, with or without Minneapolis Blower Door or Minneapolis Duct Blaster
  • Energy Conservatory produce code: WFLINK7-2

5 of 5 WiFi Wow September 24, 2014
Reviewer: Ken V. from Lynchburg, VA United States
I love this tool. It is easy to install and has simplified the blower door experience. Only takes a minute to get used to the controls and by using with an I-Pad capturing the digital image of the reading is fast and easy. It is a bit of a battery eater but we are trying rechargeable batteries and so far are having good success. We have run a second manometer without wifi a few times along side the manometer with the wifi just to verify the readings we are getting are accurate. So far so good. This is a must have product if you run blower doors or any pressure pan testing. For CAZ testing, it has been great to carry around the I-Pad (leaving the manometer with the TEC WiFi Link hooked up in the CAZ) while testing door positions and turning on fans. You can see the changes immediately on the TEC app without having to return to the CAZ each time.
